Welcome to 2026 – the year of the Fire Horse, promising a year of heightened dynamism, innovation, and intense activity
Men In Sheds Bedford is a fantastic initiative that provides a space for people to socialise, learn new skills, and share experiences, while also promoting mental well-being.
It’s a valuable way for individuals to connect and combat loneliness while engaging in meaningful activities.
Men In Sheds Weather (coming soon)

We are open from Monday 5th January 2026. Sessions are:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10:00-13:00
Other session are run coving Bridge, Art, Wood Turning, Model Trains, and Chair Yoga. Please contact us for details, if you are interested.
Our aim in Men In Sheds Bedford is to provide a place, within the local area, where everyone with time on their hands can have fun working with others in pursuing their hobbies and practical interests. You can share skills, learn new ones, help with community-based projects, or just come along (in an environment of like minded people) for a chat, cup of tea, and maybe even a biscuit. See our <About Us> page for more information.
The Men in Shed movement is primarily aimed at older more mature men – but everyone is welcome. However, due to safeguarding issues, and keeping members safe in the workshop, unfortunately we cannot cope with anyone suffering from conditions such as dementia. Also we are a supportive charity, our mission is to stand shoulder to shoulder with our members, however we not a charity that directly offers mental health therapies, counselling, or help with addiction (or recovery from addiction).
When we are open, we meet in the Annex at the Bedford Arts and Craft Centre, Ampthill Road (off Althorpe Street), Bedford MK42 9HE (the entrance to the Art and Craft Centre is nearly opposite to the Bedford Hospital A&E entrance; enter the site and either walk or drive down to the building at the far end and turn left).<click me for map>
